Accident kills two, Joshua in hospital
Anthony Joshua was injured in a car accident in Nigeria, in which two people died. The British boxer was in the back seat of a Lexus SUV that collided with a truck on Monday. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital along with other injured people. Local authorities confirm the accident to the BBC.
Cause still unknown
Exactly how the accident happened is not yet clear. Images from shortly after the incident show Joshua sitting motionless in his chair without a shirt, surrounded by broken glass. According to Nigerian media, the collision took place in an unknown area, and the victims have not yet been identified. A few hours before the accident, he shared a video via Instagram of him playing table tennis without a shirt with another man.
