What should normally have been a festive day ended in chaos with knives, sticks, screaming people and ultimately even a dead person. In Ribeira, Spain, two Roma families came together on Tuesday for an engagement party between Cheito (24) and Ainhoa (16)… Unfortunately, love quickly turned to hate. And how…

In the local community center, the fuses blew among about 50 to 60 people present. The reason? Rumor has it that a relative of the bride threatened to “kill” everyone. In no time, the room turned into a kind of low-budget wrestling arena. Tables and chairs flew through the air, people were hit with poles, stabbed with knives and even a katana was brought out. In other words: things got completely out of hand.

When the fight moved outside, things really got intense. A 36-year-old man, the groom's uncle, was run over by a van that wanted to escape the chaos. Dozens of people were injured, some seriously. The police even had to fire warning shots and then chased several fleeing cars on the highway. Eventually, six people were arrested, one of whom is in custody for manslaughter.
